Baby Ronaldo

Baby Ronaldo – Staff at a hospital in Lake County, IL asked for help after a child was born in July 2019 and died after just a few minutes and then his precious body went unclaimed for 90 days. So we claimed him and arranged a funeral Mass at St. Peter Parish in Volo. He is buried in the parish cemetery behind the Church. The teens and young people from the Crusaders for Life were present to sing him a lullaby during Mass.

Baby Mariam Jane Uddin

Baby Mariam Jane Uddin was the child thrown from an 8th floor apartment window in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood on November 11, 2015. She died about 90 minutes later in the early hours of November 12, 2015 after having endured unspeakable injuries from the fall. Her family heritage is Pakistani so we named her Mariam after the Virgin Mary and added Janes as it means “God is gracious.”

Baby Emmanuel Akorede Oluwasey Noibi

Baby Emmanuel Akorede Oluwasey Noibi was a little boy born on November 9, 2015 and found unresponsive in a home-based daycare in Chicago on November 20, 2016. In the Nigerian language of Yoruba, his middle name Oluwasey means “God made this” and certainly God did create this precious boy. His funeral Mass was held at St. Mary Parish in Buffalo Grove followed by burial at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois. Fr. Damasus, a Nigerian priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago, officiated the Mass and sang the final commendation in Baby Emmanuel’s native language.

Baby Jazlene Branham was born on April 3, 2016 and died on May 20, 2016 from sepsis and strep infections. Her family never claimed her from the morgue, so RiHA did and gave her a funeral Mass at St. Mary Parish in Buffalo Grove followed by burial at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Baby Joshua Immanuel was born on February 9, 2016 and died on March 29, 2016. His body had been left unclaimed at the morgue so we claimed him and named him. Joshua means “God saves” and Immanuel means “God is with us.” After his funeral Mass at St. Mary Parish in Buffalo Grove, he was buried at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Baby Angel Antonio was a full term baby boy who was left in a plastic shopping bag in a gangway between homes in Chicago on April 19, 2014. He was named Antonio meaning “priceless” by RiHA and his biological grandparents added the middle name Angel. His mother was a high school student who was arrested for the baby’s homicide. His funeral Mass was held at St. Hyacinth’s Basilica in Chicago and he was laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Baby Jeremiah Michael was a newborn whose body was found inside a cooler at a recycling plant in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. RiHA asked Chicago Ridge police and detectives who worked the case to name him and they chose Jeremiah because it means “God will set him free’ and added Michael as a middle name meaning “Gift from God.” He was laid to rest at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois.

Vansh Kumar

Vansh Kumar, 3 years old, was laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois. Vansh’s life was tragically cut short when his grandfather set a fire in December 2007 to an apartment building that killed his pregnant daughter, son-in-law and Vansh because the man disapproved of the daughter’s marriage. Homicide charges were filed, and the mother and father buried by the state, so we took custody of Vansh’s remains and gave him a dignified funeral.

Atcel, “The Naperville Boy”

Atcel, “The Naperville Boy” was laid to rest at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield, Illinois. Initially an unknown child, he was discovered in a gym bag thrown off the interstate in Naperville in 2005 and was believed to be between 3 and 5 years old. His body was too decomposed to be identified. RiHA named his Baby Joseph after the Old Testament story of Joseph who was thrown into a well by his brothers. Baby Hope Brown

Baby Hope Brown was laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois. Baby Hope was found dead on the day of Baby Kinzie’s funeral – October 26, 2006 – when her 14 year old mother placed her in a garbage can outside her home in Sauk Village. No family came forward to claim the child for burial. RiHA worked closely with detectives on the case and it was their police Chief who named the baby girl “Hope” in recognition that there are people who do the right thing and bring hope to our troubled world.

Babie Lexi Elizabeth

Baby Lexi Elizabeth was laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois. Lexi was found dead wrapped in plastic on top of a garbage can on September 13, 2006 in the 2800 block of Lexington Street in Chicago. She was named “Lexi” by investigators after the location where she was found. The middle name “Elizabeth” was added by RiHA because the name means “Entrusted to God” and surely this sweet, innocent baby is just that. Baby Kinzie Marie

Baby Kinzie Marie is buried at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois. Baby Kinzie made news headlines in Chicago on July 21, 2006 – the day she was found in a burning bag under a train viaduct near the 4600 block of Kinzie Avenue. Named “Kinzie” by the people who discovered her with “Marie” added by RiHA, this little baby’s life was honored with a funeral Mass at St. Martin de Porres Church – in the community where she was found.

Baby Rosa was also laid to rest at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Grayslake, Illinois next to Baby David. Born in 2002 and just hours old, Baby Rosa’s mother left her alone to die wrapped in plastic garbage bags inside of a closet in an apartment. Her mother was found and charged with this crime. RiHA named her Rosa to honor her heritage and because she was a beautiful as a rose.
